This an important notification for all our members there is a 24hour General Strike planned throughout the whole of Spain on Wednesday 11 November 2026.
This is a nationwide strike and will affect all of Spain.
The following services will be affected:
Schools, train services, buses, airports/flights, shops, supermarkets, hospital and health services.
The latter will be open for emergencies only, with reference to appointments you should have been notified by now giving you alternative options on dates.
Hotels restaurants and other leisure attractions such as amusement parks, gyms etc., might be affected. However, the hospitality and leisure industries are not automatically required to close because of a general strike. Some businesses will operate normally others could experience staff shortages others might decide not to open.
