We Can’t Take Life for Granted

The news from Valencia is heartbreaking. Lives lost and property and livelihoods destroyed in an instant. Nothing but devastation and heartbreak. Surely what all this shows us is that we can´t take life for granted. In this day and age we are constantly being bombarded with messages to “buy this”, “try this”, “own this”, and enjoy the many benefits associated with these purchases.

Little thought is given to the most precious of things we can have. Friends, Family and a wonderful support network.

At this time of year, we are urged to spend, spend, spend on all sorts of things that will barely see the light of day when the seasonal festivities are over. Such a waste.

So where can we find this army of friends, family and a support network? It is often the case that dedicated Charities are there to fill the void. One such organisation is AGE CONCERN MARBELLA – SAN PEDRO. In the 7 years since it was established they have provided free welfare advice, help, support and

friendship to over 600 individuals, (and counting). 

As we get older, the most important things are Companionship and being around people who genuinely care about you.

Think about it, if you find yourself on your own, when friends and family have either passed away or moved away, all the possessions you have accumulated will mean very little.

The most important time in your life is NOW. In other words “to live your best life” is not a pipe dream, it´s a reality with AGE CONCERN MARBELLA-SAN PEDRO.
