Updated list of the 45 municipalities with a rate higher than 500 cases that require closure of perimeter
Another 10 municipalities join the 35 announced last Friday after the increase in the incidence rate: Malaga capital, Benalmádena, Mijas, Marbella, Estepona, Cártama and Rincón de la Victoria, among them.
The province of Malaga has closed on its perimeter this past Sunday and 35 of its municipalities with a rate higher than 500 cases per 100,000 inhabitants with mobility restrictions, according to the new measures agreed by the Junta de Andalucía last Friday.
This Monday the rate of infections increases and localities that exceed the barrier of 1,000 positives per 100,000 inhabitants will also have to close their leisure and hospitality establishments.
Although it is still pending that the Territorial Health Committee analyze the rates and publish in BOJA, the pertinent resolution on changes in the level of municipalities, it is expected that the municipalities most affected by the restrictions will go from 35 to 45, according to the latest figures published by the Andalucian Institute of Statistics and Cartography.
The Andalucian president has already announced that the measures adopted last Friday by the Board may vary on a daily basis, depending on whether the respective localities go up or down from those levels, according to the report that the Ministry of Health gives each day on the evolution of the pandemic.
The counselor of the Presidency, Elías Bendodo, has highlighted that “every Monday and every Thursday the incidence in each municipality will be updated” and the measures will take effect on Wednesday at 00:00 for the towns that are added to the Monday count and Saturday at 00:00 for those who enter the Thursday review. In both cases, they will be valid for 14 days “to slow down the speed of the curve.”
