Residency Rules Changing

As reported in The Euroweekly News here.

The Spanish government has approved a massive legal amnesty for the regularisation of some 900,000 foreigners living in the country under the radar.

From May 2025, those who have been illegally living in Spain for more than 2 years will have the chance to gain proper residency without fear of recriminations.

Applicants not having regular and legal status living in Spain for two or more years will be considered for residency, provided they have no criminal record in their home country.

This sounds like good news for anybody affected, but, as always with legal issues, please consult a lawyer/abogado for any particular case.
