
Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control, the venue planned for the lunch on 25th April has cancelled our booking.
I was notified on on Friday and looked at a possible alternative on Saturday but sadly, it was not really suitable for potential changeable April weather, being outside.
I have given this a lot of thought and have decided that we should postpone the lunch until September.
This will give us time to sell more raffle tickets and find a suitable venue for the event at the right price, instead of booking something less satisfactory as a panic alternative, just to retain the date.
I am, of course, very disappointed but, on reflection, I am convinced that this is the correct decision. Brian Piccolo is very understanding and agrees that the most important consideration is a successful event.
My apologies that we cannot put on this event on 25th April but I assure you that it will be worth waiting for.
As soon as new arrangements are made, we will make an announcement. All those people who have already bought raffle tickets may rest assured that we will enter them in the draw when the event goes ahead. We have retained all the counterfoils.
Once again my apologies but this is a postponement not a cancellation.
