Don’t be surprised when it goes dark early this evening, if only for a couple of minutes. There will be an eclipse of the sun, starting at around 19.30pm, with maximum darkness around 20.30pm.
For us in the south it will not be a total eclipse. In the north of Spain it will be total as you can see from the map below.
If you do go out to see it, you will need to look west/north west and don’t forget you need your eclipse viewing glasses on to avoid eye damage – they are available in several supermarkets locally.
